General

Tomatoes prefer a warm climate, with ample spacing to encourage high yeilds. Space seedlings 50cm apart once they are large enough to handle. Water regularly to prevent tomatoes splitting or cracking. Do not wet the leaves, watering the soil around the plants helps minimise fungal problems such as blight. Bloody Butcher produces excellent flavoured golf ball sized fruit. Ensure fruit is fully ripened before eating, for the best flavour. Bloody Butcher is tall growing (1.5 metres) and requires staking or other support.
