Growing Guide to Silver Beet
Silver Beet is the year-round grower (in warmer regions) that thrives in not only the heat of Summer but also the cold of Winter. It's a simple vegetable to grow, working well in both containers and in the garden. After picking a few leaves, it will regrow from the base of the plant meaning you can come back time and time again. These days we are also not restricted to just green Silver Beet, there is a range of styles and colours and it is particularly high in Vitamin K which is good for bone health. Silver Beet is also high in vitamins A, C and E; minerals such as calcium, iron and potassium; as well as folate and fibre.
