Planting Instruction

How To Sow: Choose a well drained site in full sun. Sow these seeds in trays for subsequent transplanting or after frosts, sow directly in a well prepared seedbed. Sow seeds 15 cm apart and cover to a depth of 1 cm. Later, thin or transplant to 40 cm apart. Seedling Care: Keep seedbed or trays evenly moist during the germination period of 7-14 days. Apply fruit fertiliser two weeks after germination for healthier plants and maximum crop. Protect your seedlings from slugs, snails and insect pests; go to mcgregors.co.nz for appropriate plant health and pest control products. Hints and Tips: When the fruit appear they will grow thick and fast. For best results pick them when they are no more than 10 cm long. Fruit are also suitable to use as small cucumbers. Our seeds are not treated with Neonicotinoids.
