Planting Instruction
  • How to Prepare: Soak seeds overnight by spreading them between layers of a wet paper towel. Seal in a plastic bag with plenty of air space. Refrigerate for 2 weeks. Keep moist.
  • Where to sow: Sow anytime indoors. Best sown into a tray of quality seed raising mix.
  • How to Sow: Cover with a fine soil mix to a depth of 5 mm. Care: Cover with clear plastic to conserve moisture. Remove plastic often to allow ventilation. Keep moist throughout the germination period. As seedlings grow provide increasing quantities of light and fresh air.
  • Where to Grow: Suitable for colder climates, Carex enjoys full sun but tolertates part shade and thrives in moist well-drained soils. Suitable for banks, rock gardens, near ponds and streams, and in containers
  • Hints and Tips: Carex requires very little care. Deer resistant, salt and drought tolerant.
