Planting Instruction

How To Sow: Choose a well drained site in full sun. Sow these seeds in trays for subsequent transplanting or, sow directly in a well prepared seedbed or container. Sow seeds 5cm apart to a depth of 1cm. Later, transplant or thin to 15-12cm apart.
Seedling Care: Keep seedbed or trays evenly moist during the germination period of 7-14 days. Apply fertiliser two weeks after germination for healthier plants and maximum crop. Protect your seedlings from slugs, snails and insect pests; go to mcgregors.co.nz for appropriate plant health and pest control products.
Hints & Tips: Sweet peas thrive in cooler temperatures and benefit from regular picking to encourage more blooms.
