Mesclun is the diverse salad mix adding a fantastic spicy mix to your salad. Mesclun offers a great source of nutrition that can be harvested in as little as 4 weeks and grows well in both containers or in the garden. Be sure to fertilise your plants well with McGregor's VegeMax and place seeds in full sun to ensure a fast growing crop.

How to choose the best variety for you

Mesclun Mix Lettuce Seeds
This mix includes Endive Corn Salad, Rocket Chocory/Raddichio plus Oakleaf, Curled Green & Curled Red Lettuce and can be harvested in just 4 weeks.

Mesclun Mix Lettice Seed Mats
Add a fantastic spicy mix to your salads with the great Mesclun Mix. Seed mats are biodegradable disks with seeds embedded in them at spacing relative to the seed type. These mats can be placed directly into your planters and baskets.


How to sow your Mesclun Mix Seeds
Choose a well drained site in full sun. Sow these seeds in trays for subsequent transplanting or, after frosts, sow direct where to grow. Sow seed thinly in rows 45cm apart and to a depth of 5mm. Later, transplant or thin to 20cm apart

Hints and Tips
Harvest Mesclun lettuce while the leaves are still young and small The lettuce will keep producing all spring if you pick the outer leaves first. Use sharp scissors or garden shears to cut the lettuce. Caution: Germination is impeded by temperatures over 23 C.
