Planting Instruction
  • How to Sow: Best to sow these seeds in trays for subsequent planting or, after frosts, sow directly in a well prepared seed bed or container. Sow seeds 5 cm apart, in rows 40 cm apart, to depth of 2 mm
  • Seedling Care: Keep seedbed evenly moist during the germination period of 14-21 days. Apply fruit fertiliser 2 weeks after germination for healthier plants and a maximum crop. Protect your seedlings from slugs, snails and insect pests; go to mcgregors.co.nz for appropriate plant health and pest control products.
  • Hints and Tips: Young, green fruit tastes similar to green capsicum. Capsicums will change to a bright red colour as they mature with a sweeter richer flavour.
  • These seeds are not pasteurised.
