Planting Instruction
  • How To Sow: Choose a well drained site in full sun. Sow these seeds direct where to grow in a warm, well prepared seedbed. Sow seeds thinly 2cm apart, in rows 5cm apart and cover to a depth 1cm.
  • Seedling Care: Keep seedbed evenly moist during the germination period of 21 days in spring and 14 days in summer. Apply fruit fertilizer two weeks after germination for healthier plants and maximum crop. Protect your seedlings from slugs, snails and insect pests; check our website for appropriate plant health and pest control products.
  • Hints & Tips: A great flavoured carrot for all conditions. Nantes type carrot with 15cm cylindrical, blunt ended roots. Deep orange colour. Thin carrots via harvesting ''baby carrots'. Best to thin your plants by selectively harvesting crowded plants. Firstly to 2cm apart, then later thin to 5cm apart. Allow plenty of space between rows for good air circulation.
  • These seeds are not pasteurised.
