Planting Instruction

How To Sow: Choose a sheltered, warm, well drained site in full sun. Best sown directly in a well prepared seedbed or in small pots or cell trays. Sprinkle seeds thinly and lightly cover with damp soil. This Poppy has very small seeds. Try mixing with sand when sprinkling to allow a more even coverage. Seedling Care: Keep seedbed or trays evenly moist during the germination period of 10-14 days. If transplanting, handle the seedlings very carefully. Apply fruit fertiliser two weeks after germination for healthier plants and maximum blooms. Protect your seedlings from slugs, snails and insect pests; go to mcgregors.co.nz for appropriate plant health and pest control products. Hints and Tips: Flowers are short lived but a continual stream of new flowers make an incredible display. Our seeds are not treated with Neonicotinoids.
