Code: MS3440

Smaller Leeks to suit the smaller family. Great for the smaller family who don't require large portions. Just as tasty and versatile for stews, soups and with white sauce. Has naturally shorter shanks and performs well under closer spacings to help produce smaller 'mini' leeks.

Planting Instruction
  • How To Sow: Choose a well drained site in full sun. Best sown into seed trays for subsequent transplanting or, after frosts, sow direct where to grow in a well prepared seedbed. Sprinkle seeds 1cm apart and to a depth of 5mm. Later, transplant to 10cm apart.
  • Seedling Care: Keep seedbed or trays evenly moist during the germination period of 14-21 days. Apply McGregor's VegeMax 2 weeks after germination for healthier plans and a maximum crop. Protect your vege garden from snails and slugs with McGregor's Snail and Slug bait and from White Butterfly with McGregor's Derris Dust.
  • Hints and Tips: To produce shanks with more white, form a trench 10cm deep. Plant seedlings in the bottom of the trench. Over time the trench fills in creating longer shanks.
  • Our seeds are not treated with Neonicitinoids
