Planting Instruction
  • How to Sow: Choose a well-drained site in full sun. Sow these seeds in trays for subsequent transplanting or after frosts, sow directly in a well prepared seedbed. Sow seeds 1 cm apart and to a depth of 2 cm. Seedling Care: Keep trays or seedbed evenly moist during the germination period of 21-28 days. Apply vegetable fertiliser two weeks after germination for healthier plants and maximum crop. Protect your seedlings from slugs, snails and insect pests; go to mcgregors.co.nz for appropriate plant health and pest control products. Hints and Tips: Prune hard in early Spring to prevent the plant from getting too woody. Thyme can be used as ground cover, happily growing in the cracks between pavers and rocks. Our seeds are not treated with Neonicotinoids
