Planting Instruction
  • How To Sow: Choose a sheltered, well drained site in full sun. Sow these seeds in trays for subsequent transplanting or, after frosts, sow directly in a well prepared seedbed. Sow seeds 15 cm apart, in groups 50 cm apart and to a depth of 1 cm.
  • Seedling Care: Keep the seedbed or trays evenly moist during the germination period (7-14 days). Apply vegetable fertiliser two weeks after germination for healthier plants and maximum crop. Protect your seedlings from slugs, snails and insect pests; go to mcgregors.co.nz for appropriate plant health and pest control products.
  • Hints & Tips: To save space, plus to keep the fruit clean, allow them to grow over a trellis or similar support. This variety also does well in pots, tubs or similar containers, in warm, sunny locations. An occasional light pruning of runners and old leaves helps keep the plant tidy.
  • Our seeds are not treated with Neonicotinoids.
  • These seeds are not pasteurized.
